Common questions
How do I import a recipe?
Copy the link of a post or recipe page (in Instagram or TikTok: Share → Copy link), open the Add tab, paste it and tap Get recipe. You can also photograph a cookbook page or write a recipe yourself.
Why does it ask me to paste the caption?
Some platforms don't let apps read posts. Open the post, copy its caption, paste it into Recipe Hub and we'll do the rest. It doesn't use another free import.
How do I import from Xiaohongshu (小红书)?
Xiaohongshu doesn't let apps read posts, so paste the post's text when Recipe Hub asks. Even easier: screenshot the recipe photos in the post, then tap Add → Scan a cookbook page and pick up to 5 screenshots. They're read together as one recipe.
What does "▶ 2:15" next to a step mean?
It's where that step is shown in the original video. For YouTube it opens the video right there. Times come from timestamps the creator put in the description, or you can add them yourself when editing a recipe (tap the pencil).
Some steps are missing from a YouTube recipe.
Many videos only list ingredients in the description and show the method in the video. Tap Watch original, or tap the pencil on your recipe to add the steps yourself.
How many imports do I get?
The free plan includes a few imports per day; the count resets at midnight in your time zone. Recipe Hub Pro will offer unlimited imports.
How do I translate a recipe?
Open the recipe and tap Translate. Translations are saved, so the second time is instant. If you edit the recipe, it is translated again.
How do I report or block someone?
Tap … on a post (or on the cook's page) and choose Report or Block.
How do I delete my account?
Profile → Delete account. Details on the delete account page.
